Too bad I didn’t see this post soon, I’m from Brazil and installed the Scour search at the 4 computers I use (a mac mini, a notebook, and two machines at my work) and even put a referral at the sidebar of my blog. I’ve been using Scour instead of Google and although it seems slow and the search results work well for english but give the most weird results when I try to search sites in portuguese, I’ve been rating bad and good results in hope of bettering the quality of them for other users… I understand that most out-of-circuit users can abuse the system, but the arbitrary change to 50.000 points to gain only 5 dolars is pretty derisive to those who were trying to follow the rules. You’re invalidating the efforts of a big basis of legit users trying to catch a considerably lesser number of scammers. It’s a pity, and maybe someday in the future as Scour grows more stable I’ll try it again, but right now I guess I’ll just switch back to Google and leave Scour usage in stand by and remove the banner on my personal blog - I can’t endorse a search engine that doesn’t trust me by definition based on the location I live in, and would feel bad if I ended up luring someone into using it.
Resumindo: FUJA DO SCOUR. Até porque ele não te quer.
